Virtual Worlds

I am going to research on the economy of virtual world. Economy is defined as the activities related to the distribution of goods and services in a particular geographic region. In our real world context, it is mainly about satisfying the demand and supply of the goods and services produced by firms. Have you wondered how does virtual economy exist? How does virtual currency work? What effect does virtual economy have in real world economy? In China, it was popular in practice to use virtual currency in exchange of real goods and services. Sounds interesting right? I am going to find out the answers in this research.
